About the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA)
The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) is a vendor-neutral industry association. CSA have been issuing the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) since 2010. This certificate demonstrates knowledge of the leading cloud security guidance documents and certifies competency in key cloud security areas.

CCSKv4
CCSK was the first Cloud Security certification in the world and with the update to CCSK v4 it is also the most current. The Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) has been significantly updated to reflect changes in the cloud and security landscape. For instance, a completely new domain was added to address IoT, mobile, serverless computing, and Big Data technologies and their security implications. Also added is a description of DevOps and the associated security risks. Besides that, a discussion of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - together with a few other regional regulations - and more software defined subjects like Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Software Defined Perimeter (SDP) were included in CCSKv4.
CCSK vs CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional)
Based on the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), (ISC)2 developed - in collaboration with the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) - the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification in 2015. CCSP is a more extensive certification than CCSK with a tougher exam and an eligibility requirement of at least 5 years experience in IT. At least 3 years must have been spent in security, and at least 1 year in cloud computing. If you are already very knowledgeable and experienced in cloud and cloud security, CCSP would be a better choice for you.
About the CCSK exam
The Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) is a web-based, multiple-choice exam of individual competency in key cloud security issues. The test is a 60 question, timed examination, which must be completed within 90 minutes. Should you fail the first time, you can try again without any additional costs.
CCSK certification – expiration
The CCSK certification does not expire. However, your certificate will be given a version number equal to a specific version of the Body of Knowledge.
Cloud Security (CCSK) – prerequisites
The Cloud Security online training is designed to interest any IT professional and there is no requirement for preliminary knowledge of or understanding on this subject matter. To pass the CCSK exam you do not need to have any specific knowledge about the cloud.
Cloud Security (CCSK) – educational level
The online CCSK training is based on a bachelor level.
CPE points

The CCSK online training is a blended program. You can start the self-paced part immediately. The online training covers all the official CSA courseware, the 14 domains of CCSK plus CCM (Cloud Control Matrix) and ENISA. Included are labs to show you how to create a secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure architecture. The same principles apply also to other IaaS providers.
As an extra you get 5 sessions of 2 hours to speed up your learning process, boost your job performance and successfully pass the CCSK exam. Moreover, you will get additional labs on CAIQ, APIs, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and more. You will have access to e-learning on cloud adoption essentials, and you will receive 3 months coaching with weekly development calls (group coaching and 1-on-1).
The program will coach you in 3 months to pass the CCSK exam and will change the way you (and your team) work. You will be assisted with ongoing support by the trainer.
